The last codeshare synchronization compare between the three major alliances was conducted in the middle of the pandemic in December 2020. During that time many airlines drastically reduced their operational network and changed schedules at short notice resulting in a bad codeshare synchronicity. Now, some years after the pandemic, almost all airlines have expanded their own operational network again, the usual procedures regarding schedule data exchange and codeshare synchronization have been re-established. In addition, the virtual networks are also being steadily expanded, even larger as before Covid-19 : The codeshare business model is booming. It is therefore worth taking another look at the three major alliances and the synchronization of their codeshare schedules.
