Lufthansa Systems and EVA Air extend partnership

Oct 11, 2021

The Taipei-based network carrier continues to rely on NetLine/Sched for an additional seven years and adds NetLine/Sched Slot Manager and NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor

Lufthansa Systems and EVA Air have signed a contract extending the use of the schedule management solution NetLine/Sched including the slot management modules NetLine/Sched Slot Manager and NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor for an additional seven years. The Taipei-based airline has been a Lufthansa Systems customer for NetLine/Sched stemming back to 2012 and recently reaffirmed its trust with another long-term agreement.

“EVA Air decided to extend the partnership with Lufthansa Systems for NetLine/Sched and enhance it with additional slot modules, as the tight integration between the flight scheduling core application and slot management and slot monitoring modules allow us to comprehensively consider the slot perspective while adjusting the flight schedule. Vice versa the slot modules can automatically process schedule changes directly into coordinator telex messages and slot monitoring updates. The high level of automation also covers slot portfolio checks and the initial submission. This will make our schedule and slot management much more efficient”, said Andrew Su, Senior Vice President at EVA Air.

NetLine/Sched supports all aspects of schedule development and schedule management, such as schedule visualization and modification, alternative schedule scenarios and their profitability evaluation. It provides additional Slot Management and Slot Monitoring Modules. NetLine/Sched Slot Manager and NetLine/Sched Slot Monitor are fully integrated with the core system. NetLine/Sched Slot Manager facilitates the complete slot handling process over the whole slot season. NetLine/Sched Slot Manager helps airlines to avoid losing valuable historic slots rights as it tracks all planned and actual cancellations in real-time and alerts in case of critical ones. Above this, the NetLine/Sched Slot Management modules work perfectly stand-alone with any existing third-party scheduling and operations solutions.

“Lufthansa Systems and EVA Air have entered into long-term renewal contract of NetLine SchedConnect just recently and we are very pleased for EVA Air’s trust in us to sign the NetLine Sched for a long-term renewal contract with additional slot modules. We value our partnership with EVA Air and look forward to many years of fruitful relationship with EVA Air.” said Kazuya Ota, Vice President, Far East Asia and Taiwan at Lufthansa Systems.
