The airline connecting many destinations in the Americas and Europe continues to rely on NetLine/Plan for its network planning.
Lufthansa Systems and Air Transat have signed a contract extending the use of the network planning system NetLine/Plan for an additional year. The Montreal-based airline has been a NetLine/Plan customer since August 2020 and a Lufthansa Systems customer since 2015.
Lufthansa Systems performed a fully remote NetLine/Plan implementation at Air Transat in summer 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A team comprised of forecasting, machine-learning and network planning experts from Lufthansa Systems and dedicated Network Planning and IT specialists at Air Transat set up the system in just two months.
“We were impressed how fast, efficient and smooth the Lufthansa Systems team implemented NetLine/Plan,” said Sebastian Ponce, Head of Network Planning at Air Transat. “Having access to a powerful Network Planning Tool to plan our post-pandemic network has proven to be of great value. This is why we decided to extend the contract by another year,” he continued.
“We are delighted that Air Transat has extended the contract for another year and we look forward to continue our productive relationship with this dynamic airline,” said Wesley Gilbert, Director Account & Sales North America at Lufthansa Systems.
NetLine/Plan has been developed in partnership with airlines worldwide for more than 20 years to confront the toughest network planning challenges. This industry-leading tool allows airlines to make intelligent network planning decisions with unmatched speed, accuracy and transparency. As of today, 15 major airlines from around the world trust NetLine/Plan for their network planning.
