As the Product Manager for Lido mPilot, I am very excited about version 2.0 that hit the AppStore on Monday September 5th, 2016. It’s the release we’ve been waiting for, providing the baseline for future extensions which are currently full swing in development. I won’t say more just now but rest assured that Lido mPilot has a bright future ahead.
On the 5th of April 2016 the Lido Navigation products team got together outside of the office to interact and celebrate as team! In January we made some structural changes at Lido Navigation and now the products team has grown.
I am an editor of the text information part of the Lido RouteManual. Additionally to the charting information, the Lido RouteManual contains a text part with rules and regulations to be observed by flight crews. They comprise extracts from ICAO Standards and Practices, EASA- and FAA Regulations as well as publications of some 190 countries.
It’s been an honor for us at Lufthansa Systems in Zurich to host the yearly ARINC 424 NDB Meeting. We have been engaged in this working group for over a decade, improving and evolving the industry standard ARINC 424 together. The goal is to propose changes that will facilitate the pilots work and ensure a safe flight.
