Partnerships between airlines are common more than ever. Each partner has its own perception of how the best synergies can be reached in a partnership. This belief is usually based on their own experience, the available knowledge, established processes and used tools. But in a partnership, both parties have to act as team together to be successful and to generate the ideal synergies for all parties.

More and more airports become slot coordinated nowadays – but two obstacles apply hereby: First, this information exchange between airlines and airport coordinator is still done manually on an email base. Second, this process produces useless waste response times. The solution for the first deal breaker are slot management tools. The solution for the second obstacle are web services, which is the main topic for the following blog.

Low Cost Carriers (LCC) revolutionized the airline world. They successfully challenged the legacy airlines. But success also creates new challenges. The happy road, where LCCs have just dictated the game, may have come to an end. Many new questions need to be answered soon by the LCCs to continue on their (happy) road of success.
