The IATA Schedules Information Standards Committee (SISC) is established by the Passenger Services Conference (PSC) and is responsible for compiling and updating the Standard Schedules Information Manual (SSIM). The objective of this manual is to encourage the use of common schedule data handling procedures and standard formats for the exchange of schedule information.
Airline schedule experts are members. Airport coordinators and industry partners such as Lufthansa Systems participate as observers.
SISC is also responsible for a number of industry standard code sets, e.g. aircraft type codes, airport terminal codes and service type codes. |
