The IATA Additional Airline Designators Task Force (AADTF) is a multi-disciplinary group mandated to develop recommendations for the implementation and application of additional airline designators in cases where the amount of available flight numbers for an airline is not sufficient.
Recommendations will be submitted to the Joint ATA/IATA Passenger Services Conference Committees and then to the Conference.
Main area of investigation is the relationship between the airline's principle designator and its additional designator(s) on: schedule and fare filings, fare rules, itinerary pricing, passenger re-accommodation and flight displays, and furthermore the impact on other airline agreements and applications as well as industry systems.
