In all industries, especially in the airline market an enterprise has to connect itself to sales and distribution channels, as well as to providers and suppliers.
For airlines SkyConnect is already connected to the most important GDS like:

The connection is built by a redundant router pair with redundant leased lines. The secondary router is configured as hot standby. The monthly availability for this type of connection is 99,90 %.
The high availability is achieved by using HRSP between the primary and secondary router. In case of an unavailability of the primary router or line an automatic failover to the backup connection is guaranteed.
The preferred routing protocol for dynamic routing information exchange is BGP.
If possible, different points of entries at the GDS provider premises are used.
