Member of the Executive Board
Dr. Gunter Küchler, born in 1956, studied physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt. After five years work as a research assistant he gained his PhD. Right from the start of his professional career Dr. Küchler was involved in the development and shaping of the IT outsourcing market in Germany.
With EDS he initially as Account Manager and later on as Regional Manager cared for customers in the manufacturing industry from 1987 to 1994. In 1995 Dr. Küchler was appointed to the senior management of EDS in Germany and assumed responsibility for customers in German industry and
public authorities. Part of the successful balance of his previous career are among others the coverage of completely new market segments and the build-up of innovative ITservice- designs in the manufacturing industry, the telecommunication sector and in the public sector.
Dr. Küchler started working at Lufthansa Systems in September 2000 as Managing Director of Lufthansa Systems Infratec GmbH, a Lufthansa Systems group company. He was in charge of the Data Center Services, Web Solutions/Security and Advanced Application Service Providing divisions.
As Member of the Executive Board, Dr. Küchler has been responsible for the Sales and Marketing divisions since October 2002. He is in charge of international sales and the global growth of the group. This includes positioning the company as a leading IT-provider in the airline- and aviation industry and furthermore establishing it as a technology-expert with know-how in the area of infrastructure performances.
