Lufthansa Systems helps AirBridgeCargo to optimize take-off and landing
Russian cargo carrier AirBridgeCargo has opted for the Lido Take-off Performance Analysis (Lido TOPAS) solution from Lufthansa Systems to optimize its take-off and landing processes. A five-year contract to this effect was signed recently.
Even before a flight, aircraft crews have to make important decisions regarding the exact take-off speed, thrust and runway utilization. These variables are affected by a number of parameters including aircraft weight or weather. Lido TOPAS takes all relevant factors for the take-off and landing phases into account in order to determine the optimum speed and the runway length required under the conditions existing at a given time. Lido TOPAS also enables the exact calculation of thrust, thereby optimizing fuel consumption, expanding the useful life of aircraft engines and reducing maintenance costs.
AirBridgeCargo is a cargo-only carrier based in Moscow. With a fleet of seven Boeing 747 cargo aircraft, the airline serves destinations in Russia, Europe and Asia from its hubs in Moscow and Krasnojarsk. The carrier’s parent company Volga Dnepr Airlines has been a Lufthansa Systems customer since 2004.
