Cimber Air opts for Revenue Management solution from Lufthansa Systems
The Danish airline Cimber Air will optimize its revenue management processes using ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt from Lufthansa Systems. Both companies recently signed a five-year contract to this effect. The IT solution will enable Cimber Air to optimize the saleable capacities and thus increase revenues.
ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt has been specifically designed with the needs of small and medium sized airlines, regional and low-cost carriers in mind. The system covers all core processes of revenue management – from data loading and demand forecasting to optimizing availability data – and offers a comprehensive reporting tool. The system puts airlines in a position to recognize market opportunities at an early stage and to react faster to market changes than their competitors. Cimber Air chose ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt due to the flexibility of the solution and its capability to interface various inventory systems, including the ´Altea´ inventory.
Cimber Air was founded in 1950 and operates a fleet of 22 aircraft; serving 19 destinations throughout Europe. The airline, headquartered in Sønderborg, Denmark, cooperates with Lufthansa and SAS.
