Turkish Airlines opts for codeshare management solution from Lufthansa Systems
Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa Systems signed a contract to implement the IT provider’s codeshare management solution SchedConnect. The IT solution will become operational at Turkish Airlines in the first quarter of 2008.
As a new Star Alliance member, Turkish Airlines will be using SchedConnect to meet the growing demands in codeshare management and schedule distribution. Turkish Airlines offers some 175,000 flights a year and around 35,000 codeshare connections with 15 partners - with all figures showing strong growth.
Guaranteeing the seamless, continual exchange of data between all of the partners and systems involved in flight scheduling, SchedConnect is the most advanced system of its kind available today. This innovative solution optimizes codeshare agreements in real time, accelerates the synchronization of such flights and enables the simulation of new codeshare agreements to expand existing networks.
