Lufthansa Systems today announced the appointment of Dr. Hannes Pfister as Senior Vice President Infrastructure Services effective December 1, 2006. Infrastructure Services is one of five business divisions at Lufthansa Systems. In his new position, Dr. Pfister will be responsible for the entire portfolio of infrastructure services, which ranges from process-related consulting to the management of high-performance networks and the operation of complex, heterogeneous IT systems.

Dr. Hannes Pfister has a long history with the Lufthansa Group. Most recently, he has been
Managing Director of Lufthansa Revenue Services (LRS), a position he took over in November 2001.

After earning a doctorate in geophysics, Dr. Pfister began his career by gaining professional experience as a systems analyst. After a short time, he was promoted to group leader responsible for SAP basic support at Lufthansa Technik. In fall of 1993, Dr. Pfister became head of the revenue accounting department of Lufthansa Cargo, where he played a major role in the standardization of revenue accounting processes and IT systems. From June 2000 to the end of 2001, he was head of the Information Management department of Lufthansa Technik.
