Asiana Airlines manages revenues with Sirax solution from Lufthansa Systems
Star Alliance carrier Asiana Airlines now controls and manages its accounting process with the help of Sirax from Lufthansa Systems. The implementation allows the Korean flag carrier to benefit from a streamlined accounting process. Matching ticket sales with concrete flight data, the system takes into account complex factors including code share agreements, alliances, taxes, and fees.
Sirax supports the management of revenues by performing a fully automatic check of ticket sales against specific flight data. Based on this check, the actual revenues are then calculated within a very short timeframe. Sirax' high degree of automation reduces potential losses caused by inadequate fare calculation. Asiana Airlines is now able to take advantage of an improved quality and control of their accounting processes and from increased productivity due to the higher degree of automation. This results in additional revenue potentials that Asiana can benefit from even in the first year after implementation.
Lufthansa Systems and Asiana’s IT subsidiary, Asiana IDT, will jointly operate Sirax for Asiana Airlines for the next five years. While Asiana IDT takes care of hardware operation and system administration, Lufthansa Systems is responsible for implementation, continued development and maintenance. Asiana IDT and Lufthansa Systems can already look back on a successful cooperation: Asiana Airlines has been using Lufthansa Systems’ Aerospace & Defense industry solution since 2005 to optimize its MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) business processes. |
