Lufthansa Systems: Electronic charts for all Airbus models
All Airbus aircraft will soon be able to navigate using the electronic charts from Lufthansa Systems. The eRouteManual from the German IT provider can be permanently integrated in new aircraft or retrofitted in planes that are already in use. Airbus and Lufthansa Systems signed a contract on January 27 in Toulouse covering their extensive cooperation in the introduction of the paperless cockpit.

Lufthansa Systems operates extensive medical communication and archive solution
PERmed GmbH, based in Hannover, is currently establishing a Germany-wide infrastructure which will allow doctors and hospitals to exchange medical imaging data and diagnostic reports digitally. Lufthansa Systems was contracted to provide and operate the technological infrastructure for the project. The goal of the new olution is to accelerate the exchange of information between clinics and doctors working in practices. The new solution also frees doctors from having to maintain complex digital archives in their own practices.

Kraftverkehr Wupper-Sieg AG Leverkusen (Wupsi), the transit authority for the city of Leverkusen, will equip its service centers and sales outlets with EasyTicket, the electronic cash register system from Lufthansa Systems, to facilitate the speedy and secure sale of tickets to its customers.

Vatry Airport selects Lufthansa Systems’ ELWIS air cargo handling solution
French airport Vatry (XCR) is the latest customer to sign up for ELWIS (Electronic Logistics & Warehouse Information System). ELWIS is part of Lufthansa Systems' AdvancedCargo Suite developed to support a cargo airlines needs from booking, tracking, ground handling to accounting. It operates in twenty-six Asian, European & South American airports in twelve countries and covers the entire workflow from physical handling to documentation, customs clearance and invoicing of the handling services. The modular system, which is either web or client-server based, thus increases throughput, reduces costs and creates the necessary conditions for optimum customer service.
