Centralwings optimizes crew management with IT solution from Lufthansa Systems
Polish low-cost carrier has signed a contract to use Lufthansa Systems’ crew planning solution NetLine/Crew. Centralwings is a wholly owned subsidiary of LOT Polish Airlines, which has been a customer of Lufthansa Systems since 1994.
This makes Centralwings the third Polish carrier to use NetLine/Crew, following LOT and EuroLOT. The comprehensive functionalities and reliability contributed to Centralwings decision in favor of adopting the system. Implementation is scheduled to start in January.
Lufthansa Systems’ network management solution NetLine counts almost 50 customers worldwide. The module Netline/Crew is designed to specifically provide support for the entire crew management process. Duty roster planning for crews is a complex task, since it involves assigning crew members to flight rotations as efficiently as possible while observing complex legal and airline-specific regulations. At, the same time minimizing costs for hotel accommodation and positioning flights are only two of the factors that also need to be taken into account. |
