FMS database from Lufthansa Systems has attracted three new customers
Fischer Air Polska, Pluna and TUI Airlines Belgium have opted for Lufthansa Systems’ Flight Management System (FMS) navigation database services, joining a worldwide customer base of more than 110 airlines. The FMS database supplies comprehensive navigation data for cockpit systems and contains important route information including altitude information and alternate airports to optimize flight planning. The content, which consists of worldwide aeronautical data, is adjusted monthly to the planned operating area of the aircraft. Lufthansa Systems guarantees that the FMS database is customized to meet the needs of the specific types of aircraft used by an airline.
Fischer Air Polska is a recently established, Warsaw-based start-up company, which belongs to the Czech tour operator Fischer. Pluna, the national airline of Uruguay , was founded in 1936. The airline operates scheduled services to Madrid , Buenos Aires , Rio de Janeiro , Santiago and Sao Paulo . The third new FMS customer, TUI Airlines Belgium, is a subsidiary of TUI AG. The Belgian charter airline operates flights for its parent company, primarily to Mediterranean destinations.
