AeroRepublica expands use of Lufthansa Systems' Revenue Management solution
A customer of Lufthansa Systems? ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt solution since 2001, the Colombian
airline AeroRepublica has just signed on for another 5 years of continued cooperation. Lufthansa Systems'
complete revenue management solution is designed specifically for regional and low-cost carriers.
It covers all core processes of revenue management - from forecasting customer demand to optimizing prices.
Based on the positive experience with ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt, AeroRepublica has decided to
enhance the solution with the "Rule-based Control" module. This will enable the airline to defend
its markets by applying the techniques of low fare airlines and increase the profitability of its
own promotional activities. Of particular interest is the combination of the successful forecasting
and control techniques that ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt offers with the newly added module?s capability
to pre-define the number of seats made available at low fares.
AeroRepublica started operations in 1993 and today is mainly serving the domestic routes of
Colombia with a fleet of 9 mid-size jet aircraft.
