Air Canada implements Lufthansa Systems' modern IT solutions for network planning
Air Canada has added further modules of Lufthansa Systems' NetLine/Plan solution to
calculate its flight plan. The Route Optimizer enables the airline to optimize its flight
plan with a particular focus on flight times and connecting flights. For example, the use
of this module provides for the determination of a maximum number of connections to any
given flight.
In addition, Air Canada has also decided in favor of the NetLine module Flexible Costs,
which allows for a more detailed analysis of the cost structures behind a flight plan.
With both solutions now implemented, Air Canada can expect to save as much as three million
Canadian dollars each year.
