Lufthansa Systems has delivered all Route Charts to Lufthansa
Lufthansa Systems is pleased to announce that the project to switch Lufthansa to the
IT provider's Lido Route Manual was completed on time at the end of December. Aside from
Lufthansa Passage Airlines, also Condor, Lufthansa Cargo and Lufthansa CityLine now all
rely on Lufthansa Systems' innovative routing chart technology. Only four months after
the first chart was delivered, the entire Lufthansa Group's aircraft now fly with the
Lido Route Manual by Lufthansa Systems.
The charts are drawn to scale and support visual thought with their clear color-coding and
self-explanatory symbols and differ considerably from the charts previously produced by
CAD tools. They are being generated electronically from the Lido navigation database
created and maintained by Lufthansa Systems, which contains all the aeronautical
information available worldwide. This database also acts as the foundation for other
proven IT solutions in the Airline Flight Support business segment of Lufthansa Systems.
These solutions are already being used successfully by over 110 airlines. Lufthansa
Systems is already in close negotiations with several other airlines that are looking
to benefit from the Lido Route Manual.
