The two Lufthansa Group companies - logistics subsidiary Lufthansa
Cargo and IT service provider Lufthansa Systems - and Air China
Cargo will be sharing an exhibition booth at this year's transport
logistic China exhibition in Shanghai from May 11 to 14. Lufthansa
Cargo and Air China Cargo have been joint venture partners since
1989, sharing their freight capacities 50/50 on all flights between
China and Germany. Lufthansa Systems logistic solutions have played
an important role in the continued business success of cargo carriers,
especially in Asia. The deployment of carefully selected IT solutions
enables them to establish end-to-end, integrated and controllable
logistics chains.
China is the second most important market for Lufthansa Cargo AG
after its home market Germany. The carrier has seen its volume of
freight business with China increase by ten percent in both of the
past two years. A presence at the largest Chinese logistics exhibition
is therefore of great importance to Lufthansa Cargo. The IT-Provider
is also committed to the Asian airline and aviation market, which
holds enormous growth potential. With five offices in the Asia-Pacific
region, Lufthansa Systems is as close to their customers as possible.
You will find Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa Systems and Air China
Cargo at Booth 300, Hall 6 in the Shanghai New International Expo
Centre. Lufthansa Systems will also be displaying its logistics
solutions at the parallel Air Cargo China exhibition (Hall 6, Booth
606).
At 12:00 pm on May 13, a joint press conference will be held by
Lufthansa Cargo chairman Jean-Peter Jansen and Dr. Gunter Küchler,
Managing Director of Lufthansa Systems. They will be reporting on
their companies' activities in the Asia/Pacific region and discussing
their business strategies and outlook.
Note for journalists:
A photocall has been scheduled with Jean-Peter Jansen, Dr. Gunter
Küchler and Li Jiaxiang, chief executive officer of Air China,
on May 13 at 1:00 pm, directly after the press conference.
