First-class IT for regional airlines
Regional airlines need the support of IT solutions so that they can adapt quickly to changes in route networks or schedules. Lufthansa Systems has designed several products that fulfill the requirement of regional airlines and enable them to increase the productivity of their flight planning and operations as well as to maximize their revenue. The NetLine/Plan solution, for example, optimizes the route network planning process by providing a competitive network structure which incorporates current market factors as well as passenger travel patterns. NetLine/Sched ensures efficient flight planning and makes it possible to create alternative schedules, check the operational capacity of individual aircraft and gauge the cost-effectiveness of schedules.

With NetLine/Crew all facets of crew management can be controlled. Especially to meet the needs of regional airlines, Lufthansa Systems has developed the Rembrandt module of its ProfitLine/Yield revenue management system. This solution covers all core revenue management processes, from importing data and forecasting passenger demand, to optimizing the availability of seats at different fares. Route planning is just as important as resource planning for regional airlines. Lufthansa Systems' Lido navigation database contains complete worldwide aeronautical data.

The route maps, both in printed form and electronic, are generated from this information. The same applies to the Lido Operation Center (Lido OC), the route planning system from Lufthansa Systems. The databases of the Lido FMS (Flight Management System) are tailored to the need of each individual airline. Thanks to their modular design, each individual product offers considerable added value to the customer, and this added value can be increased through integration.


Revenue Accounting: Greater transparency in a sea of numbers
Fast and precise revenue accounting is indispensable to an airline's management if the company is going to be guided successfully through this highly competitive market. But due to complex fare structures, code share agreements, and taxes and fees in aviation, revenue accounting has turned into something of a science. The SIRAX solution from Lufthansa Systems handles all aspects of the billing process in detail. With Sirax it is possible to considerably reduce the losses that airlines suffer when Interline billing with other airlines is overlooked or when rates are calculated too low due to changes in a passenger's ticket class.

The high degree of automation of the software allows airlines to reduce the amount of effort they put into revenue accounting by up to 70%. SIRAX provides the airline management with a reliable and informative auditing and control instrument. It continuously delivers current revenue reporting and management information within a short period of time.

In keeping with the trend towards prompt reporting, SIRAX will offer a daily revenue overview in the future.
