The PCI DSS competence of Lufthansa Systems is also reflected in our innovative solution –
the PCI Compliance Engine. This product facilitates PCI DSS compliance with little effort. Instead of protecting the credit card number individually within the affected systems by applying all the numereous security rules, the engine isolates the credit card number centrally and replaces it with an "artificial ID". In this way, the application is taken out of the scope of PCI DSS and by that fulfils the security requirements. At the same time the consequences for the processes remain manageable.
