Enhanced efficiency by integrated operations control
Transaero Airlines will use its Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) Platform from Lufthansa Systems. The Russian carrier recently signed a five-year agreement relating to the IOCC Platform and its components IOCC/Sched for schedule management, IOCC/Ops for operations control and IOCC/Crew for crew management. Transaero becomes the first passenger airline in Russia which will use all the mentioned components of IOCC Platform. Lufthansa Systems will operate these solutions in its data center as an Application Service Providing (ASP) model.
"Transaero’s tender commission has chosen Lufthansa Systems IOCC Platform. As a result Transaero has got a product that fully meets all our requirements. We are confident that the implementation of this comprehensive package of IOCC Platform components will further enhance the strength of our operational efficiency", said Dmitriy Erzakovitch, Transaero Airlines Deputy General Director - Operations Director.
The IOCC Platform is the first integrated IT platform able to control and monitor all aspects of airline operations which are closely interlinked in practice. It allows airlines to optimize the complex processes of their flight operations, resulting in considerable cost savings and added passenger satisfaction.
When disruptions arise due to bad weather, congested airspace or technical problems, the IOCC Platform quickly provides an overview of the entire situation. The platform analyzes all relevant information, compares different scenarios and finds the optimal solution. During routine operations, too, this overview helps airlines make faster, better decisions, which leads to increased efficiency. While it is an integrated solution, it also features a modular design and therefore can be customized precisely to fit the needs of individual airlines. This means airlines can choose to introduce the IOCC Platform in stages to suit their operational requirements as much as their financial and organizational situations.
Stefan Auerbach, Senior Vice President Sales EMEA at Lufthansa Systems, said, “As a dynamic airline in a competitive market, Transaero will benefit utmost from the advantages of the IOCC Platform. The solution provides robust information for fast, flexible decision-making, and this will give Transaero a significant competitive edge.”
