XL Airways France continues to rely on FMS data from Lufthansa Systems
The French XL Airways France will continue to receive Lufthansa Systems’ comprehensive navigation data for cockpit systems. Both partners renewed their contract for the use of the
Flight Management System (FMS) database for another three years.
The FMS database contains all important route information including altitude and airport data for optimizing routes and supporting autopilots on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated and organized monthly and can be customized to specific routes and for use in any type of aircraft. The FMS database also contains important data to ensure the most efficient engine power levels, ultimately resulting in fuel savings. Lufthansa Systems can thus meet the requirements and needs of airlines.
XL Airways is a French airline headquartered in Roissy, France. The carrier operates long and medium haul flights to over 15 different destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, North America as well as the Caribbean. Its fleet consists of three Airbus A320-200 and two Airbus A330-200.
