Major deal with Croatia Airlines for Flight Support solutions
Croatia Airlines and Lufthansa Systems have now signed a Letter Of Intent for a comprehensive package deal involving an integrated range of solutions from Lufthansa Systems' innovative Airline Flight Support portfolio.
This includes the route planning system Lido OC, the Lido Route Manual, SkyBook, Slot Handling, as well as TOPAS, Lufthansa Systems' take-off performance software.
In the first stage of the overall project, the implementation of Lido OC and SkyBook is planned for spring of this year.

Air Canada implements Lufthansa Systems' modern IT solutions for network planning
Air Canada has added further modules of Lufthansa Systems' NetLine/Plan solution to calculate its flight plan. The Route Optimizer enables the airline to optimize its flight plan with a particular focus on flight times and connecting flights. For example, the use of this module provides for the determination of a maximum number of connections to any given flight.

Yet another customer for Lido OC: Kuwait Airways decides in favor of Lufthansa Systems' route planning system
Kuwait Airways will soon start calculating its flight paths for its entire fleet with Lufthansa Systems' route planning system Lido Operation Center (OC). The implementation of the system is scheduled for mid-2005, and the first training sessions for the new customer's dispatch staff have already been completed.

Lufthansa Systems has delivered all Route Charts to Lufthansa
Lufthansa Systems is pleased to announce that the project to switch Lufthansa to the IT provider's Lido Route Manual was completed on time at the end of December. Aside from Lufthansa Passage Airlines, also Condor, Lufthansa Cargo and Lufthansa CityLine now all rely on Lufthansa Systems' innovative routing chart technology. Only four months after the first chart was delivered, the entire Lufthansa Group's aircraft now fly with the Lido Route Manual by Lufthansa Systems.

Extended capabilities for Lufthansa Systems' Network Management solution
Lufthansa Systems has again extended the capabilities of NetLine/Sched, the IT solution for efficient network management, by updating the Gantt chart functionalities. The Gantt chart, a graphical component for schedule information and schedule management, has been thoroughly revamped. It now features a modernized 3D look & feel and color codes reflecting customer-specific requirements. Key improvements include the ability to present aircraft-rotational connections as independent objects, which enables additional information such as minimum ground times to be displayed. Furthermore it supports the display of an unlimited number of aircrafts, days and flights. The new Gantt chart will first be implemented at Ryanair.
