In a business as complex as the airline industry, economic success depends on optimizing business processes with regard to costs and resource use, even more in these turbulent and tough economic times. For more than ten years, Lufthansa Systems has been making a name for itself with solutions in this field.
At the free of charge NetLine Optimization Day on Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Berlin you will see how the optimizers support your airline in two parallel tracks.
The NetLine/Ops track presents the benefits of optimization in the tail assignment process, including a demonstration of the optimizer NetLine/Ops Tail xOPT. This track also shows you the newly available next generation of the recovery tool NetLine/Ops Solver xOPT which goes far beyond the first generation optimization module of NetLine/Ops.
- See how the new NetLine/Ops Solver xOPT can be used to solve problems with closed airports and reduced airport capacities and to balance various objectives, e.g. crew connections and delays.
- The new interactive optimization approach of the NetLine/Ops Solver xOPT turns the solver into a decision support tool and lets the end user control the solution.
- NetLine/Ops Tail xOPT can balance various objectives to provide, e.g. the most ground time buffers possible without loosing “crew-following-aircraft”.
- Maintenance planning support in NetLine/Ops Tail xOPT includes automatic planning of small maintenance checks and balancing maintenance checks over various stations.
The NetLine/Crew track demonstrates the benefits of optimization in the pairing construction and the roster assignment processes, likewise including a demonstration of the pairing optimizer NetLine/Crew Pairing xOPT and the roster optimizers NetLine/Crew Fairness xOPT and NetLine/Crew Preferences xOPT.
- Our new NetLine/Crew Pairing xOPT does not only create efficient pairings by minimizing several cost drivers like duty days, deadhead flights etc. but it also creates the pairings precisely how they are needed considering the crew capacity on each base.
- In several benchmarks we have proved how powerful this tool is – discuss with us how next steps for your airline could look like.
- Learn more about how powerful the new NetLine/Crew Fairness xOPT and NetLine/Crew Preferences xOPT support the various aspects of roster generation by meeting target figures for the distribution of the flight time per month or for the fulfillment factor of the preferences depending on the seniority of the crew member.
- Bring in your ideas for an ideal roster generation and find out how the two new tools will support them.
