Lufthansa Systems Airport Mapping Database Lido/AMDB is a highly accurate and geo-referenced representation of the layout of an airport. This includes the geometry of runways, taxiways and buildings as well as further object attributes.
Using our Lido/AMDB with an integrated airport moving map application on your flight deck supports you in orienting yourself on the airport surface during taxi operations.
In order to produce accurate airport data the airport database is generated using geo-referenced satellite images. The AMDB raw data are checked and supplemented with our airport data from the officially published Aeronautical Information Publications (AIPs). The production and revision process for our Lido/AMDB is embedded into Lufthansa Systems successful Lido/eRouteManual and Lido/FMS production. The processes comply with the quality and process management standards as defined in RTCA Do-200a, Do-272B and ARINC 816.
